PRODUCT INFORMATION DATA SHEETS EXTRA GOLD POLYESTER FILLER DESCRIPTION: Extra Gold polyester filler is a two component chemical paste used for the filling of holes and imperfections in surfaces such as steel and GRP. Extra Gold has been specially formulated for the professional user and combines good filling and smooth spreading properties together with ease of sanding. SURFACE PREPARATION AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: Extra Gold polyester filler can be used on the following surfaces:- - Bare steel-degrease and abrade with P40 paper.
- Original paint surfaces (with the exception of thermoplastic acrylics) -degrease and abrade with P180 paper.
MIXING RATIO: 100 parts by weight Extra Gold polyester filler, 2 parts by weight U-POL hardener for polyester filler. The exact mixing ratio is not critical, although over or under catalyzation may affect the gel time. Do not greatly over catalyze the paste as this will not significantly speed up the gel time and could lead to bleed through and bleaching problems when over-painting. POT LIFE: Once mixed, 4-5 minutes at 20°C with 2% hardener. TOOLS: Mixing board, filler knife, plastic or rubber spatula. DRYING TIME: Sandable after 20 minutes at 20°C. OVER-PAINTING: Extra Gold polyester filler can be over-painted with most paint systems. |
