FASTGLAS - GLASS FIBRE KIT

DESCRIPTION: Fastglas is a polyester resin kit, containing resin, hardener, glass fibre, mixing cup, and plastic gloves. Fastglas has been developed for the repair of holes, splits, cracks and tears in most materials including metal, wood, hard plastic, bricks etc. Fastglas can also be used as a construction material to manufacture storage tanks etc. Fastglas offers perfect adhesion to most surfaces and is a solid base for most paint systems.

SURFACE PREPARATION: Prepare well. Surface must be clean, dry and free from all traces of grease, loos matter and rust. Abrade with P40 paper.

HARDENER: To activate Fastglas use 1% to 2% of Fastglas hardener. Mix well immediately. Do not use in temperatures below 5°C. Gel time varies depending on the ambient temperature.

THINNER: Dilution of this product is not recommended. Clean tools immediately after use in cellulose thinners or acetone.

APPLICATION: Paint the prepared area with activated resin using an old brush. Apply a workable size of mat to the area and then using a stiff brush, stipple the glass fibre until it is "wetted". Clean tools immediately. Leave the resin to dry and repeat the application with more strips of mat until the desired effect is achieved.

POT LIFE: The activated resin mixture remains useable and liquid for up to 5 minutes at 20 °C.

OVER-PAINTING: Sand, clean and dry completely. In order to fill any pin holes or imperfections on the surface, use a U-POL polyester body filler. Fastglas can be re-covered by the majority of primers and paint systems.
